Downing Hospital Pediatric Art Program

The Downing Hospital Pediatric Art Program, run by the Community Children's Museum, and generously funded by Francie and John Downing, provides a process-oriented approach to visual art for hospitalized children.

Currently this program works with the Child Life teams and pediatric nurses Morristown Memorial Hospital (MMH)
The main goal of the program is to offer open-ended art experiences which are tailored to meet the needs of both the patients and the specific hospital environment. At MMH, the creative art program has evolved into a weekly digital art experience for elementary, middle school and high school age patients. .
