History
In 1995 a group of parents in Morristown came together to create a shared vision of a children’s museum that would serve all aspects of the community. They were incorporated in 1996 and received their not for profit status in November 1997. The Community Children's Museum spent several years offering one day programs in art, science and world cultures and raising money from various fundraising events to open a space. In 2002 they found a home in Dover and opened their doors to the public in 2004 after renovating the building.
Five years after opening with artistically inspired exhibits and curriculum based programs in art , science and world cultures they were proud to receive the 2010 Outstanding Arts Organizations Award from the Arts Council of the Morris Area.
