Part-Time General Staff/Museum Educator

This General Museum Staff position's base hours are 4 days per week: Thursday thru Saturday 10am to 5pm. There is an option to work Sunday's 12-5pm. The are also more flexible hours determined by the number of groups and parties that are scheduled each month usually for 2 hours at a time.

Major Duties:

• Teach education programs to all ages and levels
• Assist with daily operations
• Greet the public and give tours of museum
• Take and record admissions
• Supervising visitors
• Some light office work and taking responsibility for museum’s activities and exhibits.

Abilities and Skills:

• A familiarity with interactive teaching methods
• Understanding of and ability to apply age-appropriate activities and programs in teaching children 10 and younger
• Flexibility to adapt to various situations

Experience Requirements:

• Must have experience working with young children and/or teaching/museum experience, bilingual a plus. College students welcome.
