2003!

You are probably wondering what happened to the Community Children's Museum for the last year or so.... well we spent it looking for a space. It took a bit longer than we thought it would but we were successful beyond our imaginations; for we not only did we find a home but we found a community. The people in Dover are very eager to bring in new opportunities for their families and have welcomed us with open arms. They have provided a wide range of support, from new board members to new ideas for ways to fund the Museum. The town officials have helped to expedite our renovation approvals and are doing everything they can to make the process go smoothly. They see the benefits we will bring to the town as well as the entire area. We are excited at the prospects of serving the ever-increasing population of Western Morris County and those who need and want us in Dover.

Renovation Update
We are making great progress despite the cold weather. The most recent accomplishments are:
• The new 10 ton heating/ air-conditioning unit has been installed on the roof and the ductwork is in place.
• The gas line is hooked up and has passed inspection
• The rough plumbing work is completed and passed inspection
• The electrical work is being completed
• Walls have been built and spackled.
• Exhibits are nearing completion
